Semi-Auto Cut BCG Trip Device
Super Safety Semi-Auto Cut BCG Trip Device
Product Overview
This trip device is designed to restore the necessary rearward carrier geometry required to trip an auto sear or Super Safety when using an SP1-cut or semi-auto–cut bolt carrier. Many commercial carriers intentionally remove this geometry; this component adds it back in a controlled, non-permanent manner to allow proper mechanical interaction during the cycling sequence.
The device installs directly into the rear of the bolt carrier and provides a stable, indexed trip surface that enables reliable Super Safety operation in compatible AR-pattern systems. No permanent modification to the bolt carrier or receiver is required.
Manufactured via precision 3D printing in glass-fiber–reinforced nylon (PA6-GF), the part offers high stiffness, thermal resistance, and dimensional stability suitable for high-cycle environments.
Key Features
-
Restored Trip Geometry
Allows SP1-cut and semi-auto–cut bolt carriers to reliably trip an auto sear (on NFA-registered lowers) or a Super Safety in compatible AR-15 platforms by reintroducing omitted carrier geometry. -
PA6-GF Construction
Printed in glass-fiber–reinforced nylon for improved strength, heat resistance, and wear performance compared to standard filaments. -
Secure Two-Piece Clamp Design
The assembly is clamped together using a single M3 × 35 mm screw and nut, preventing movement or wobble once properly installed. -
Indexed, One-Way Installation
Designed with an indexing feature that only allows installation in the correct orientation—cannot be installed backwards. -
Non-Permanent & Unregulated Component
This part is not a regulated item. It does not alter the host firearm permanently and may be removed at any time without affecting normal function.
Compatibility
-
SP1-cut bolt carriers
-
Semi-auto–cut bolt carriers
-
Super Safety–equipped systems
-
NFA-registered lowers with auto sears (where legally applicable)
Compatibility is dependent on carrier dimensions and receiver geometry. Not intended for use outside compatible platforms.
Installation Instructions
-
Insert the M3 × 35 mm screw into the main body of the trip device.
-
Place the nut into the designated slot on the trip surface.
-
Slide the main body into the rear of the bolt carrier.
-
Align and slide the trip surface onto the indexing pin of the main body.
-
Tighten the screw until both pieces are firmly clamped together.
-
The assembly should not wiggle or shift once secured.
-
-
Verify smooth carrier movement and proper engagement before use.
There is only one correct installation orientation; the indexed design prevents incorrect assembly.
Important Notes
-
Ensure the device is fully seated and securely clamped before operation.
-
If movement or instability is present, do not use until corrected.
-
Minor fitting may be required due to carrier-to-carrier tolerance differences.
-
Professional installation is recommended for users unfamiliar with bolt carrier or fire-control geometry.
-
Sold as-is; all sales final.
